Future goal in global health? My primary interest in global health lies in the study of infectious diseases that affect vulnerable populations around the world. I plan on pursuing either a degree in public health or medicine over the next several years. My eventual hope is to pursue a career in public health, where I can work to combat the diseases of poverty to prevent needless loss of life.
What is one experience you don’t want to miss as part of this internship? I don’t want to miss the opportunity to really become a part of the organization, working as a part of the team to the eventual goal of helping those in need. I want to gain experience working in the field, that I can apply in any direction my life goes in.
What inspires you the most about Nyaya Health’s work? I am inspired by Nyaya’s commitment to achieving real results, and its incredible level of transparency. Too often organizations in the field get caught up in their own politics, and don’t actually have an impact despite initial appearances. I’m inspired by Nyaya which stands as a new type of global health organization committed to openess and results.
Favorite food? While it’s a little expensive, I’m a fan of lobster.
